China experienced a major slowdown in growth of its export in year 2008, it exported 1428.55 billion U.S. dollars, a growth of 17.8 percent within the same period of last year, its import amounted 1133.09 billion U.S. dollars, a growth of 18.5 percent
In December, its export decreased by 2.8 percent compared with the same period of last year and its import reduced by 21.3 percent.
